Palmer Way is Proud of Shyanne!

June 17th, 2010

Shyanne Maciel is a second grader who has shown improvement this year in Mrs. Bo’s reading lab. She has worked on her reading fluency and spelling abilities and her hard work paid off yesterday when she received a free bike! The bike came from NBC, who works in conjunction with the Salvation Army in a program called “Bikes for Kids”. Shyanne received the red carpet treatment when she was visited by the NBC weatherman, Whitney Southwick, and two ambassadors from the Salvation Army. Please look for Shyanne and other Palmer Way students on Friday morning, June 25, 2010 on NBC at 6:10am. Shyanne is an excellent example for all students that hard work and determination will balways be rewarded.
